Galloni: The 2023 Riesling Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube Grosses Gewächs was picked from 50-year-old vines in the rocky heart of the site. Reduction still holds sway, but underneath, chervil, orange peel, cream, citrus blossom and ripe lemon all beckon. The body is serene in its smooth slenderness, concentrated and fluid, with much direction and poise. Wonderfully juicy and harmonious, there is something incredibly balanced and almost effortless here, with such gorgeous lemon on the long finish. (Bone-dry)
Suckling: An extremely focused and laser beam-straight dry riesling with ripeness and creaminess that balance the radical minerality and spiciness of this very compact, medium-bodied wine.
