Parker: The 2023 Frühlingsplätzchen GG from Tim Fröhlich is coolish, spicy, mineral and grippy on the nose that reveals delicate notes of yeast and slate. Powerful, dense and almost opulent on the palate but then, suddenly, as precise as a Dürer yet with the verve of a Rubens. The wine is dense and reveals a powerful, long-lasting finish. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden in August 2024. 95-96 /100 -- Weinwisser: An intensely herbal, smoky nose with the style-defining Sponti and Reduction notes, which are somewhat more restrained and show a touch more nectarine fruit alongside a smoky, mineral vein. On the palate, it is very elegant with a fine structure, radiant and succinctly dry, infused with a smoky-mineral vein, rich in finesse, almost playful, with a gripping, spicy finish. This year too, the Frühlingsplätzchen shows its advantages and is on a par with the Halenberg. Always interesting to see how different the two sites are. 95 /100 -- Suckling: All the charm of spring, just as the name of this great site promises. Stacks of pink grapefruit, dried herb and wet stone character. This has impressive concentration and minerality, but also a juiciness that makes it a delight to drink right away. Moderate acidity in this context, but also a long, very pure finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink from release.
