Product information

Margaux should not be underestimated. In the 1991 Arrivage, this was a tremendous wine at 94/100 level. After that, it quickly closed up and in the nineties, with its dense colour, concentrated fruit and massive tannins, only gave a hint of what it could become. The last time I enjoyed this wine, which is currently completely untypical of Margaux and almost coarse, was in 2000 at two tastings, more or less. Nothing more happens before 2010, but then really. In 2007 it was still rather angular, rustic, somewhat tiring, the fruit, which was certainly present, was covered by the somewhat harsh, dusty tannins - 89/100. Also very closed in 2008, a potentially great classic that continues to develop at a snail's pace, potential for 94+/100 (source: wineterminator.com Dr. Becker).
