Product information
Pauillac, 1er cru classé Nearly 20 notes, Understandably opaque and severe in cask, its deep purple robe hanging on as it developed. A rather dour wine in the mid-1980s. Only three notes in the past decade, the best, fully evolved; the sweetness of ripe grapes and fairly high alcohol. A really delicious mouthful (at an Athenaeum wine dinner, 1976). but less impressive, 'unexciting' at a recent dinner in Memphis. Last tasted Dec 1997 *** MB, Vintage Wine
Scoring 83/100 Parker points, this red wine from one of the world's greatest vineyards.
