Dom Perignon was a mature, wonderful champagne in 1999, which is still worth looking for - 96/100. This was last seen in 2006 at a large tasting, was more mature, but still showed no weaknesses, but clearly more depth. Very powerful, long and complex. Showed ever new facets and also withstood rising temperatures with ease, a very great champagne that should certainly remain at this very high level for a long time to come if kept cool - 97/100. A champagne dream was 1987 and 88 Krug, which unfortunately I have not come across since (source: wineterminator.com Dr. Becker).
