Sensory evaluation (as of 2023/2024)

  1. Colour:
Deep garnet red with already developed, delicate brick tones on the rim - typical of mature Cabernet.

  2. Nose:
Complex and multi-layered. Dominantly ripe black fruit (plum, black cherry), combined with fine wood notes (cedar, vanilla), leather, tobacco and a mineral spiciness. Slight hints of liquorice and dry herbs (rosemary, sage).

  3. Palate:
Powerful but elegantly structured. The tannins are silky smooth after 13+ years, but still carry a lively acidity. Flavours of preserved blackberry, black tea, dark chocolate and truffles. Long, harmonious finish with smoky minerality.

  4. Overall impression:
The wine shows balanced maturity and is in the optimum drinking window (2023-2028). It combines Mediterranean richness with classic elegance.
