Healthy bubbles also a surprise, made me double check that this indeed was the 1976 and not the 1996. Clearly, a well stored bottle. Nice clean nuances in the nose. In the mouth, still healthy fruit with good acid and only traces of its age. Good complexity and a peculiur dry finish, that while nice dropped of quickly. While I preferred the 1996, the group voted by finishing every drop, while leaving half the 1996. Was this out of the curiousity of an older bottle or was it really better? Nice wine.
