1969
The vintage year 1969 is a weak in Bordeaux until average year. The weather terms were anything but good. Few sun hours and many precipitation made to the maturing of the grapes problems. The enterprises had to watch how the vineyards vegetated there. Sour, thin wines with a little ageing potential. However, chateau Lafite Rothschild seems to be acceptable. Also Mouton Rothschild is drinkable. For vintage viewfinders interesting!
Weak port year! Not declares and find rare today.
Acid emphatic wines arose in Germany, these show a good ageing potential. Today, noble sweet plants are still beautifully drinkable. Selections and wines of selected grapes from cellars led well are terrific. The search is still worthwhile here. Rheingauer enterprises were ahead.
