1906
The vintage year 1906 was marked by great humidity and wetness to beginning of a new year in the Bordeaux viniculture region. A heat period with for a long time dry phases which caused problems for the maturation of the grapes then followed in summer. The harvest then could be brought in, in sunny weather which saved the vintage and granted a satisfactory result. The best wine of this vintage is well chateau Margaux 1906 which beautifully tightly still shone with terrific structure and a terrific old bouquet after almost 100 years, too.
