1968
The vintage year 1968 was not a recovery in Bordeaux after the bad years. A very cold spring and a wet August let the grapes hardly ripen. Thin wines with little elegance. Today, the high profits still have bargains made. Paying attention to bottles stored well. Chateau Petrus seems excellent, however, is inflated by the price performance relationship!
Good port year rakes, that the producers, however, were not declaring. Today uninterestingly!
1968 was a weak wine year in Germany like also in Bordeaux. Cold, wetness, few sun hours and fungi as well as white horses made the life difficult for the winegrowers. The youth beautifully hardly today drinkably in, however. Trying and hoping for noble sweet wines!
