1950
The vintage year 1950 produced very high profits which turned out twice as high as that one of 1949s. However, the quality could not keep pace with the quality in most appeals. The wines were attractive however without a great store potential within young years. The best wines came from St. Emilion and primarily Pomerol. The well-known winegrowers produced beautiful wines here. Chateau Peter 1950 is a legend. If one liked to buy a bordeaux from 1950, Pomerol is always a rewarding alternative. Moreover, chateau seems Margaux excellently well and still can be charming today.
Only finding in the rarest cases mediocre port year today. Nevertheless furthermore the wines can be passable.
Good year in Germany with a very small profit. The wines were used up in first half of the 1950s years all and, today, almost can not be found any more. With noble sweet wines a pleasure is surely still possible. The search is worthwhile.
